ENTERTAINMENT LEADER SANDY GRUSHOW JOINS MEDIALINK LLC AS FIRST CHIEF CREATIVE
OFFICER
In newly created position, the former Fox Television Chairman will build and run
content creation efforts for the media advisory firm.
Los Angeles, CA – January 22, 2010 Sandy Grushow, former Chairman of Fox
Television Entertainment Group, who most recently launched digital entertainment
studio Filmaka, has joined MediaLink LLC as the media advisory firm’s first
Chief Creative Officer, it was announced today by MediaLink LLC Chairman, Chief
Executive Officer, Michael E. Kassan.
In his new role, Grushow will spearhead content ideation and development of
branded entertainment for MediaLink's clients and their agencies. MediaLink’s
client roster includes such blue-chip companies as Microsoft, AT&T, Unilever,
General Electric, MySpace and GlaxoSmithKline. The consultancy also will
continue to work closely with agency units such as GroupM Entertainment,
connectivetissue, The Third Act (Digitas) and others.

MediaLink is the first consultancy to concentrate on the still-developing nexus
of marketing, entertainment, technology and media. Its wide-ranging work for

Mediabrands; the reorganization of the MySpace sales force under the leadership
of MediaLink President Wenda Harris Millard; and several projects in which
MediaLink is helping clients restructure their marketing organizations to meet
the challenges of the 21st Century.
Grushow began his career at the FOX network in 1988 as senior vice president of
advertising and promotion, where he was one of the key architects in creating
and implementing the new network’s brand identity and was responsible for
launching such shows as "The Simpsons," "In Living Color" and "Beverly Hills
90210." He was upped to executive vice president of Fox Entertainment in 1991,
and named president in 1992. In 1997, Grushow was named president of Twentieth
Century Fox Television, which under his leadership rose from being the
eighth-ranked studio, with just five series on primetime, to the leader in
network television production. In 1999, he was given added oversight of the
network he helped to build and appointed chairman of Fox Television
Entertainment Group. During his career at the Fox network, Grushow helped bring
to air such hits as "The X-Files," "Melrose Place," "Party of Five," "Malcolm in
The Middle," "American Idol," "24," "The OC," "The Bernie Mac Show" and the
Emmy-winning "Arrested Development," among many others. Most recently, Grushow
launched the digital entertainment studio, Filmaka, a worldwide community of
writers and directors focused on the creation of branded entertainment. The
Filmaka community has created content for such clients as Ford Motor Company,
Lincoln Mercury, Cisco, and, most recently, DirecTV.
The entertainment marketing veteran is the latest high-profile executive to join
the company in the past year, including Internet advertising pioneer Millard,
former Yahoo! sales chief and co-CEO of Martha Stewart Omnimedia; former
Entertainment Weekly and Advertising Age publisher and branded content leader
Scott Donaton, who runs Ensemble; and Jeff Cole, Director of the Center for the
Digital Future and a Research Professor at the USC Annenberg School for
Communication, who is a senior advisor to the firm.
